Thanking God for "the little things"...

Wow! Getting settled in has been very exciting and interesting. It finally started raining Saturday and didn't really stop till yesterday. Today the sun came back out, and it was a beautiful day. During the process of all that rain, we went back and forth with no water or electricity and without both some days. We even took a shower with a bucket, and Michael ventured out and even bathed in the river. It was a funny sight.

It's just amazing how there are so many things that we take for granted. Some may be luxuries, but we hardly ever consider so many of "the little things". It's amusing how excited we were when the water started trickling back through the faucet ever so slowly. So we thank God today for His blessings, but I challenge each of us to stretch our brains and think what He provides that we overlook so many times.

We are now in the process of getting a container from Baton Rouge with office supplies and some medical supplies too. God has been so good to this clinic. Dr. Martin and Michael are getting loads of the supplies and brining it back to the clinic for the next couple of days. Looking forward to taking pictures of all the new supplies. All in all we are doing wonderful, and God is so good. We're adjusting well. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Made it to Honduras!!!

Yesterday was our big travel day to Rio Viejo Honduras. We left Atlanta Airport around Nine then got to San Padro Sula Around 11 30. Dr. Martin was there to pick us up! We then traveled in Dr, Martins Big red truck to Rio Viejo which took us until about 6pm that night. We had our share of stops- Power Chicken for Lunch which I have to say was not so bad :-) then we stopped at a local smoothie shack-I had a papaya and banana smoothie with lots of vanilla and sugar!!! All in all it was a great Day of travel. We made it safe including Penny! Today Michael hit the floor running, he got up and was working at the clinic at 7am. Me I took advantage of some much needed rest! Keep us in your prayers as we began our journey here in this beautiful Country that God will use us and the People we are working for to reach Honduras!!! healinghandsglobal.org
